Bruce Benedict is a chaplain at Hope College and a visionary leader in the creative arts. Coming from a musical family, he has honed his skills in various instruments such as piano, voice, guitar, and trombone, and enjoys introducing his audiences to unique instruments like the melodica. At Hope College, Benedict enriches the spiritual and cultural life on campus by performing with student bands during chapel services and engaging deeply with the student body. Beyond his chaplain duties, he directs Cardiphonia Music, a non-profit that collaborates with artists to produce worship music inspired by ancient hymns and contemporary narratives. His projects often explore profound spiritual themes, such as the Biblical canticles, creatively reinterpreted for modern audiences. Dedicated to reflecting the diverse backgrounds of the campus community, Benedict uses his musical talents to foster unity and inspire spiritual reflection.
